i have to say, i do like these photos he took.
we didn’t know where else to go, so we ended up at the padang, where, provided with the opportunity of space and a seemingly endless horizon (and fuelled by a rainbow-sprinkled chocolate donut), aniq displayed his running prowess equivalent to a speeding F1 race car, his poor daddy lagging more than 100 metres behind.

daddy finally caught up with and wrangled him back like an escaped wild cattle bull, sweat and all
his sheer horsepower speed proved useful later when the black knights, practising their aerobatic flying displays for national day, roared above – he ran to me with all his might, fear in his eyes, his heart pounding as he climbed into the car next to me, his hand gesturing to his chest, “aniq scared!”… HILARIOUS!
ok ok, bad mummy, but it’s just so rare to see him look so vulnerable, the gungho, no-fear boy that he is, that i doubt i’ll ever forget it. heh.
this girl on the other hand – clueless, pretty much. i have NO idea what’s going on in her cute lil bald noggin.
she sure drools a LOT though. (and no, i did not have any unfulfilled cravings when i was pregnant with her. just why i get asked this question all the time boggles me so! :p)

hi jannah, i forgot to reply to your email! btw, you can find nice bedsheets for your fren who’s getting married. aussino has nice ones, and one with a cute bride & groom design too…
nana, wats cayokk ah??
The pics are so niceeee….. And Auni looks so cute in dis pic…
My kids were also afraid of some very loud noises, like sudden explosions, dinosaurs growling (this one’s funny, found out when we watched the huge dinosaur imax movie & my daughter kept closing her eyes & ears whenever the dinos came on screen!), even fireworks at one point in time. But they’ve outgrown most, if not all, of such fears, and in fact now seem to revel in making very loud noises, screams/shouts etc, often scaring the wits out of their poor baby brother!
Hi back to u! haha, no worries. Thanks for the idea. Actually, was thinking of that as well. Thanks once again!
Auni really looks like you in that pic!
stress pasal mulut dia comot! wahawhwha..and sometimes sampai tersedak2 …grrr
fateha oso drools, makan tangan and play bubbles. yucks. and makcik2 ckp, anak2 main air liur, rambot mak dia gugur.
and i have countless hair fall. aiyaaarrr!!!!!!! lama2 bleh jadi botak jgk mcm dia.
wah..auni dah besar. Sooo kiut!! Oh, Rayan oso drooling and my hair oso dropping. Why eh? Nak tumbuh gigi tak? Heh..
ahh i don’t think i’ll bring him to the dinosaur imax movie either, lol! he runs to me when he hears thunder, runs away from me when i use the hairdryer, (see how running is the running theme here?) and stops to ask “what that?” when he hears things moving upstairs.
btw, we’re going to bring him to the fireworks show! kaboom!!
does she look like me, liz? must be the arched brow again. :p
maybe someone can do a scientific research on the link between drooling/bubbling and the mother’s hair shedding, but i think that around the third-fourth month, two things just happen to occur simultaneously, babies’ physical development and mothers’ pregnancy hormones finally wearing off. no? i havent had the hair ‘exodus’ yet, but i find wispy lil tufts of hair on auni’s cot every morning. semakin botak!
hee, the other day when we had family day at east coast, there was a display of roaring jets soaring across the sky for ndp rehearsal, and they scared the living daylight out of misha. the whole time she walked to the car with one arm covering her eyes, and mumbles “..eh-pen…eh pen…”
i heard too about babies drooling = mummy’s hair fall off. it happen to me after my second childbirth. but it could be that it’s just coincidence.
Yeah vacuum cleaners used to be frightening too, and blenders for awhile I think, can’t remember now.
Haha the classic “what that?” question coupled with the big round eyes, you can almost “see” their little minds working overtime trying to figure out the cause of such mysterious noises, esp. those in the middle of the night(!), but still not wanting to jump to any conclusions, they will intently wait for us to provide our explanation…yet whatever explanation is given will first be evaluated and tested with subsequent questioning to ensure there are no “holes” in such a reasoning before you can finally see the acceptance in their eyes showing “OK, that’s a plausible explanation and I can agree with that, for now!”…. kids nowadays!?!
about the drooling, my grandma just told me something i’ve never heard of – to ‘borrow’ someone’s kain buruk from their house and wipe the drool off the baby so it’ll stop. yuk!! :p
so what’s your explanation for the things that go bump at night?
