ok, so we were up till late, as usual, finishing up our W&F work for the day, some time last week. it was about 2am and rin’s dad was fetching her from my place.
she went downstairs and waited by the main road.
she started to feel goosebumps when out of nowhere, a large figure loomed across the road, a young man with menacing eyes. he looked right at her with those eyes, and started walking briskly towards her, as if he was going to pounce on her…
she looked around for her dad, who arrived just in time on his bike, and quickly left the scene. but not before she took one last look behind her – there was no one at all.
of course, it could just be a normal guy trying to scare her. but she insisted it wasn’t, he disappeared as suddenly as he had appeared.
when izad heard about the incident, he immediately thought of a fatal accident that occured in october last year, right around that same bend near our place.
a young man had died while delivering food from a certain fast food chain.
so we googled for the newspaper article, but didn’t find any photos, just a picture of the accident site. (which izad had passed by on that fateful day, on his way home from work. he saw the man bleeding on the ground.)
we knew the date, so rin’s mum did some digging and of all the malay newspapers she still had, that particular day’s edition turned up.
and whaddaya know, there was a picture of the man in the accident.
and… it was him, the same face she saw.
rin’s dad later admitted he saw the figure too, but didn’t mention to her until he heard it from her sister.
so, what do you think??
i have to say, it kinda fascinated me, morbid as it may sound. very ghost whisperer.
to think i almost sent her home that night, which i’ve done before (i wanted to escape with the car for while, go to the petrol kiosk nearby for a late night snack, etc.)
but, erm, don’t expect me to walk (or drive) down that road at 2am in the morning anymore, eh. :S

the late guy’s soul sure did not rest and hence, he is still around that area. the road where the accident happen. yes, its scary so becareful okay? avoid late nights at that road =)

you think, asthrysia? we’re so used to this area, never felt anything, erm, out of the ordinary. izad always jogs around here, and we also come home pretty late sometimes. :S
ohh yar that dead guy was from mcdonald’s or pizza hut i can’t remember. my uncle’s house was right there, near the bend. we went to his house during raya, soon after that accident, and my uncle was pointing2 at that spot that night. luckily that boy didn’t come up to 11th storey to tell us to shoo!

and i remember tat accident! we gave izad a lift home tat day and was wondering why there was a huge hold up around that bend. izad had to alight and walk to the block himself. only when the TP re-directed traffic did we realise tat there was an accident involving the delivery guy and yes, from McDonald’s!
and when we were at the traffic light, the ambulance was right beside our car, on its way to the hospital.
issshh…i must jeremy about this. but i tink i’ll wait till tmr morn. :p
Oh dear…it’s so eerie sey.. Kalau I silap2 dah kene badi.. confirm terkejut bila tgk the newspaper ada muka arwahnya.. sure terbayang the face punya..
semenjak dua menjak ni …maklum la badan makin sihat ahha

wah… very the incredible tales! well i think the best is to sedekahkan al-fateha jer lah. poor boy, his soul cannot rest. mudah2an he’ll get some peace soon. amin.

anyways, usually when i drive along tpe and will passby your neighbourhood..i dun feel a thing but after reading this entry..smlm when i’m on the way to airport mcm ade goosebump gitu..hee…but i think every neighbourhood pon ade their own roaming spirits??!!
yah lah, memang kalau takde orang ceritakan, tak rasa apa apa. my neighbourhood has always felt very safe! :)

yup, i thought that was quite a freaky incident to happen to me! But no, i didn’t have sleepless nights over it, hehe. I’d experienced other paranormal activities before, agaknya ako ni ada third eye kot… And i’m also hesitant to assume that it was the victim’s wandering soul that i saw. Cos we all know that jins and syaitans can take on different forms, right? So maybe it was one of them trying to spook me, lol. Tulah balik lambat lagi! If it *was* the guy though, i only have one thing to say. Tak rela saya jadi pembisik momok!! No more overtime at the wnf hq!

but just wish to share something i learnt from pergas, that roh seseorang yg telah meninggal dunia tidak akan muncul kat dunia nie lagi. kalau muncul pon dlm mimpi, itupon dia senyap je atau senyum je. kalau dlm mimpi tu dia da start berbual, itu adalah syaitan.
same goes kalau we saw a figure menyerupai a dead person kat dunia, it’s also syaitan.
so i gez it’s not him coming back to tell that his soul is not resting in peace cos in islam actually takde ‘restless soul’ or ‘roh gentayangan’.

w&f bakery sometimes starts at 9pm, can’t be helped coz of our kids. so, you know how much we really put into our work. supernatural hazards and all.
it’s just syaitan or jinn. there’s no such thing as restless soul dalam agama kita. imagine apa mak bapak atau saudara mara dia rasa kalau terbaca entry ini. sebenarnya hal bergini tidak sepatutnya di tulis di blog untuk menjaga hati saudara-mara arwah dan juga leave the arwah in “peace”. tak baik menyebut-nyebut tentang yang sudah pergi :)

memang tidak patut visit other people house to tell the owner not to put the vase whatever where they are. let’s just say that I don’t know anything about the accident before I read about it here. I am not physically in Singapore but with “clues” from this blog I managed to dig up si arwah’s name. I was just thinking about si arwah that I don’t know. Wanna know sumthing… This deliveryboy who died kan delivered mcdonalds to my werk place the day before the fatal accident happened. And he’s my colleague’s primary school fren so we were saying hi to him and everything. Then he meninggal the next day. UNBELIEVABLE.
