like finally.
our host server fan was malfunctioned or something, thus the downtime.
time for a change, ya think? hmm…
* * * * *
anyway, while it was quite, er, liberating for a while not to blog, the compulsion is still there (fortunately, or unfortunately for some of you, ha ha).
exciting things have been happening, in particular one project rini and i have gotten ourselves involved with. but more on that later, maybe end of this week. (if the server doesn’t go kaput again.) :p
anyway, perhaps i’ve neglected Aniqspeak for a while lately, so let’s hear from him, shall we?

mummy’s asked if i want to go to the Dentist. i’m not sure who this person is, but i’ve agreed anyway, so she went ahead and booked an appointment for next month. because my paranoid of a mother found out from the Dentist’s office that she should have brought me there upon my first birthday, so she’s like, ohhh, a whole year late. *come, let’s all roll our eyes*
i think she’s now trying to look for books about visiting Mr Dentist to prepare me, and even managed to borrow from her friend an elmo vcd to educate little children like me on proper dental care. (she’s weird like that – mummy, not her friend).
what? no spidey vcd instead??
and here, i don’t know why mum finds it amusing, but she said my penmanship has changed quite dramatically without her realising it. where i used to draw wide lines and large circles with much force and flourish, is now replaced with tiny little scribbles.
she thinks i’m trying to either: a) write mandarin characters, b) forge daddy’s signature, c) draw the various species of ants i’ve discovered so far, or d) all of the above.
on other news, mummy is getting fatter by the day, and even one of my damdil brudders think so, coz he kept lifting up his shirt and touching his tummy when he stares at her. (either that or he’s a right perv.) ha ha!
ok, back to you, fatty mummy.
* * * * *
pfft. :p

ouhh, i hate it when the gigi starts to goyang… i think when i was small, my grandma used to pretend to look at it then WHAM! she’d tug it out without warning. hee. sib baik tak traumatised sangat.
Hi Hana,
just dropping by your blog and wish to drop my 2 cents.
i have also brought my 1st son to the dentist recently and it is his 1st trip there (he’s 4 yrs old, too late i guess) cos he needs to undergo some tooth filling. at first i have some reservation abt sending him cos mummy herself is afraid of the dentist when she’s a little kid but luckily i have managed to get just the right dentist for him to start with. they are really good with kids and i tink it has been a pleasant trip for my son cos he keeps asking me when his next appt…..haish..pokai ibu asyik nak gi dentist
Anyway I wish Aniq 1st trip to the dentist wl be a pleasant one too.
hahahaha.. yalar, macam Chinese characters! LOL!
so cute!
eh apa project ah..? anyway, c u this wkend hor.. that is if i still have not POP!
akcherli kan, what is the best age to bring him to the dentist? i wanted to bring rayhan but ren say its too early..
you will find out what project this wkend lor, lol! how are ur braxton hicks? tell the baby dun pop yet, maknye masih nak enjoyyy.. hehe.
ok this was what the kids dentist wrote:
“The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children see their dentist on their first birthday. It is to ensure that appropriate preventive advice has been given for the child to avoid dental problems… You can prepare your child for the dental appointment by informing him that he is going to the dentist. A dentist is a doctor who looks into his mouth to count his teeth. He will also be brushing his teeth for your son.”
i manage to brush his teeth every nite, but have been unsuccessful in counting his teeth, lol! dia asik kejap kejap jilat tu toothpaste, susah lah nak kira.
hi mima, another mummy takot dentist?? hehe!
good to hear that ur son enjoyed his first trip!! i think when we started going, we all dah besar sangat, like primary school (free dental checkups in school kan, tu pun by dental nurse not doc, and they were mostly stern i guess!). the approach was different then too, maybe that’s why many of us have bad impressions of dentists? skarang dah lain ahh…
could have told me, the kids go to the dentist at HPB cheaper
really? ok nvm, nx round we go to cheaper one…
anak satu masih boleh ’splurge’ sikit hehee.
mak aniq! when can i have my date with aniq? tee hee hee!!!
saturday!!
haz, u and the kids free tak to have playdate wif aniq and aunty nur?
this saturday afternoon should be ok i guess, we have a jemputan @ pasir ris…where u guys wanna go?
aniq better take good care of his teeth now, or beware the wrath of the school dental therapist later! wahahaha!
my mum was one of those SDTs who used to ‘terrorise’ the kids. if other kids got a sharp reprimand from her, i got nagged n nagged (n nagged) in the dentist chair, in her clinic, at home, etc etc. but she had mellowed down (a lot!) in recent years. in fact, she has recently retired from her (terror) job. all hail, one less dental ‘terrorist’ in our schools! LOL.
Oooohhh….aniq has reached another milestone of writing scribbles!!! Wow!!! That’s great!!!
HPB patne eh?
the tightening are more intense but not as frequent…
yeah, i’m targetting mth end lah since by den i’ll be 38wks.. hopefully! cos i want to pengsan oredy.. penat penat penat!!!
good question… i think the national dental centre also has a pediatric clinic, not sure of the charges tho.
neway, here’s something useful u might want to read from the HPB website:
http://www.hpb.gov.sg/hpb/default.asp?pg_id=865&aid=382
and check out how prolonged pacifier use or thumb sucking can affect their teeth! :O
http://www.ndc.com.sg/ForPatientsNVisitors/PatientEducation/ChildrenDentistryCaringforYourChildTeeth.htm
and i wanna wean him off the bottle liao (i’ve always hated it anyway, bah)…thankfully he’s not the type who goes to sleep wif it. dia habis minum jer declare, “DAH BISH!” and hands it promptly to me or anyone else around.
(and len, tahan jer those braxton hicks k, jiayo!)
hi stinkstoink! an important milestone, ya think? you’re the expert, hehee! fine motor skills mcm mak dia agaknye, i can write reeaaaalllly small too ahh. :p
eh nymph, we shd have had the same dental nurse at HGS, rite? i dun remember much, but i thought they were quite nice. we used to go lurking around the dental ‘hut’. i like the ’sterile’ smell. :p
eheh i had buck baby teeth coz i was sucking my thumb so..
yalah the same nurse. she’s nice, but she also happens to be good frens with my mum. so they were in cahoots. since i refused to sit in my mum’s chair (coz of the incessant nagging.. – my mum used to ‘unofficially’ check on my teeth whenever i dropped by her clinic usually on saturday mornings), she got her fren to pick me out n carry out all the tampal jobs following her strict instructions! buey tahan man.. LOL. btw, that kind nurse at HGS has been promoted n now oversees several clinics within a cluster. good on her!
speaking of ’sterile’ smell.. how did i know my mum was home from work? when i started to smell ‘Dettol’ wafting through the house from the front door… hahahah
hello hello hi hi,
I’m a silent reader of ures whose been following ure stories for awhile now. i hardly ever comment. Sorry. But anyhootz, i just popped by to say that i added you to my blogroll and i hope you don’t mind. I do hope you keep the stories rolling. thanks muchly
asilah
btw- goodluck for the coming year!
ouh, now i need to wean him off the pacifier. not that he likes it in the first place but mak bapak dia, nenek atuk dia asyik sumbatkan benda tu dalam mulut dia, while the little one kept spitting it out…
*guilty*
Aniq is already going to the dentist… That’s nice…. May his first visit leads to many more happy visits…
*gasp* i haven’t even THOUGHT of taking nunu to the dentist! but then again that girl loves her toothbrush so much, she’d ask to brush her teeth every chance she can get (even while i’m doing the no.2 in the toilet!) and banging on the bathroom door. Tsk her toothbrush’s bristles all so frayed oredy.
eh come on lar, count his teeth! looks like he has a nice full set. I think nunu has 16 now, tak sedar pun, tuptup ajer dah 16.
same lah anne, PANTANG nampak i kat toilet, mesti nak serbu to “ush teef!” orang baru nak letak bontot kat toilet bowl, dia yg sibok mintak toothbrush… that is, AFTER he’s ‘inspected’ my toilet bowl. :p
you manage to count nunu’s teeth? ok i try, with his toy ‘dental’ mirror thingy. hehe.
tx lihah, to many more $$ flying too ha ha!
buat pe sumbat balik when he’s spitting it out, mahd? means he doesnt need it mah…
tx for adding to your blogroll, asilah!
wah aniq dah big face look more n more cheeky ehk…. dimple die pon perm… btw tadi i saw ur mom inside train @ 10 am… still look young uh ur mom…lawa..
u sure u saw my mum?? dia tu masih dalam “confinement” 100 hari… heh!
but i think shd be her lah, on the way to the lawyer’s officer to settle some stuff…
