after talking and thinking of putu piring yesterday, i cannot tahan the urge anymore. after dinner at mummy’s place, we decided to pay the putu piring stall at haig road a visit. its been less than a week that we tasted really good putu piring at ar rifai but nothing beats the real mcCoy.
famous for their generous serving of gula melaka in their putu piring, it wasn’t a surprise when we saw a queue at the stall. sold for $1 for 3 pieces, its a small price to pay for that few seconds of sweet nirvana…. ahh…

the putu pirings stall here is indeed very popular. i never miss to buy the putu pirings when i pass this place. now must wait till i recover fully…aargh!
i’ve eaten those putu pirings and i definitely HAGREE with you they are the best around!! the last time i had them, i nearly had an orgasmic reaction! LOL!

memang sedap dan lembut, btw, you guys heard of putu bambu? used to buy it when i go JB. almost same taste like putu piring, but instead of steaming it on a saucer, they use bamboo stick, the smell is good, but the serving of gula melaka, sangatlah sikit!!
putu bambu jarang jual kat sini. i’ve tried b4 but prefer putu piring. how about putu mayang? you guys pernah try tak?
putu bambu kat pasar malam selalu ada……some stalls have more gula melaka while others barely there….
next time i had the putu bambu with generous servings of gula melaka i asked for their contatct number…. and forward to you. hehehehe!
how about otak2? are you a fan of otak2? i prefer the murset @ pasar geylang or one particular aunty who sells at pasar malam only. otak2 ikan makcik tuh isi ikannya all chunky2 nice….unlike the usual. the murset’s comes with coconut…

we were trying to guess how much they make per day from selling putu piring… 1 person would on average buy 2 sets, that’s $2… a few hundreds a day, not bad eh!
