having to entertain a one-year-old means having to master the art of doodling on a magna doodle.
but i realised lately that i even have to THINK how to draw simple things that i take for granted when merely looking at picture books.
and so i had to dig back the memories of those art lessons of past when i was a hobbit in primary school.
what better time to practice than during a two-day course, with lotsa paper and markers available right in front of me?
let’s see now…

i don’t know how but my animals ALWAYS end up… smiling. perpetually optimistic creatures they are.

ok ok, i wasn’t totally daydreaming in class. i *was* paying attention too, you know. it’s just that i’m a kinesthetic learner. and i’m sure many of you were too – doodling, tapping your fingers, clicking your pen, swivelling your chair…

tips for the socially-challenged.
boy am i glad i’m not a student anymore! how in heck did i make it through all those years in the classroom?
(oh yes, of course. by doodling.)
